NACRJ 2026 RECAP | Restorative Justice Is in Great Hands

I haven't attended the NACRJ Conference since 2022 in Chicago. So, I haven't felt the energy in quite some time. This year's conference in New Orleans was epic!!!

Before this year's conference, I've been carrying a growing concern about the integrity and impact of RJ. I, and many others, have witnessed watered-down training, cold spirit-less circle process, and the practice being reduced to a philosophy to discuss rather than a way of being to embody.

Over my week in New Orleans at the conference, I felt a deep sense of relief as I met more and more practitioners. The practitioners I met were all grounded, thoughtful, experienced, and committed stewards of this sacred practice and process...which allowed me to release the pain of morning RJ and the possibility it offers the world.

I left New Orleans clear that Restorative Justice is in great hands.

I am grateful for every conversation, every connection, and every person who i was able to share space with.

I look forward to deepening these relationships and gathering again in 2028.
